ARCIS

Verify once. Present to many.

ARCIS is a self-sovereign identity credential vault. Individuals hold their own verified credentials and present them to any reporting entity — without a central database, without repeated checks, and without giving up control.

How ARCIS works

  1. 1

    Verify

A client completes identity verification once through an ARCIS-supported process. Their identity is checked against authoritative sources in accordance with AUSTRAC's customer due diligence requirements.

  2. 2

    Receive

The verified client receives a W3C Verifiable Credential — a cryptographic proof of their identity — stored in their personal ARCIS vault. The credential is encrypted client-side and held on their own device. No central server stores their identity data.

  3. 3

    Present

When the client engages a reporting entity — a lawyer, conveyancer, real estate agent, or accountant — they present their credential directly. The entity receives cryptographic proof of verification without running an independent check.

  4. 4

    Accept

The reporting entity validates the credential instantly. It meets their CDD obligations under the AML/CTF Act. The verification is recorded, time-stamped, and auditable — exactly as the legislation requires.

  5. 5

    Revoke

The client controls access. They can revoke any entity's access to their credential at any time. Their identity, their terms.

For reporting entities

If you are a law firm, conveyancing practice, real estate agency, accounting firm, or trust and company service provider, AML/CTF compliance is now part of your business. From 1 July 2026, you must conduct customer due diligence before providing designated services. That means verifying client identity, assessing risk, keeping records, and appointing a compliance officer.

ARCIS reduces the friction of that process — for you and for your clients.

Faster client onboarding.

Clients who hold an ARCIS credential can present verified identity in seconds. No waiting for documents. No manual checks against multiple sources. No photocopying passports.

Lower verification costs.

Each credential carries cryptographic proof of an existing verification. You are not paying for a fresh identity check — you are validating one that has already been completed to the required standard.

Compliance-ready record keeping.

Every credential presentation is time-stamped, logged, and auditable. Your records meet the AML/CTF Act's requirements for documenting CDD procedures and outcomes.

Client experience that sets you apart.

In a market where 80,000 businesses are implementing the same obligations simultaneously, the entities that make compliance seamless for their clients will win. ARCIS makes you that entity.

For individuals

Every time you buy a property, engage a lawyer, or open an account, someone asks you to prove who you are. Under Australia's expanded AML/CTF laws, that is about to happen more often — across more professions, more transactions, more interactions.

ARCIS gives you a single, verified identity credential that you hold and control.

One verification, used everywhere.

Complete the process once. Present your credential to any reporting entity that accepts it — your conveyancer, your lawyer, your accountant, your agent. No repeating the same checks with every professional you engage.

You hold the key.

Your credential is encrypted on your device. There is no central database storing your identity. No company holds your data on a server you do not control.

Revoke access at any time.

Shared your credential with a service provider you no longer work with? Revoke their access with a single action. Your identity, your terms.

Works on any device.

ARCIS is a Progressive Web App. It runs in your browser on any phone, tablet, or computer. No app store download required.

ARCIS

Built to last

ARCIS is not a wrapper around a third-party API. It is purpose-built identity infrastructure, designed from the ground up on open standards.

W3C Verifiable Credentials
The international standard for portable, tamper-evident digital credentials. Your identity proof is interoperable, not locked into a proprietary format.
Decentralised Identifiers (DIDs)
Cryptographic identifiers that do not depend on any central authority. Your identity exists independently of any single platform or provider.
WebAuthn / FIDO2 Passkeys
No passwords. Authentication uses your device's biometrics or security key. Phishing-resistant by design.
AES-256-GCM Encryption
Military-grade client-side encryption. Your credentials are encrypted before they leave your device. Not even Sovereign Identity Systems can read them.
Progressive Web App
Cross-platform, installable, works offline. No app store gatekeepers. No forced updates. Runs in any modern browser.
